David Beckham’s mother was furious when she saw pictures of her son modelling in his underwear.
The soccer star has confessed he was really nervous about baring all in the raunchy advertising campaign for Emporio Armani, but was most worried about how his mom Sandra would react.
He said: “I was so nervous about doing that campaign because obviously I’ve done photo shoots before, but I’ve never done photo shoots in my underwear. I was quite nervous because obviously I knew my wife and friends were going to see it. And my mum was going to see it.
“When the photos first came out, my mother was the first one to call me and say, ‘What are you doing?’ I tried explaining it to her, but she didn’t really get it. Luckily, I’ve not been in the car with her when we’ve driven past one of the billboards!”
David - who has three sons with wife Victoria - also said the Spice Girls star is very funny, and provides most of the humour in the Beckham household.
He added to US talk show host Jay Leno: “Victoria is the funny one in the family. I’m really not funny.”

They say that Paris is a great city for lovers. And David and Victoria Beckham put it’s reputation to the test last night following the England vs. France soccer match.
Becks and Posh showed up at a party at Baccarat Lounge Restaurant looking very loved up and stylish. The Spice Girl sported a charcoal and black fitted dress, while her beau opted for a dark suit, displaying his Team England badge.
And although his team lost to France 1-0, David was still in celebratory mode. After all, his appearance on the French pitch with Team England earned him his 100th cap.
Becks told press, “My parents are here, my granny is watching back home, my sister, my sons and my wife are also here. I’m very proud. Reaching 100 caps doesn’t happen every day but, like I said before the game, I am hoping it is not 100 and out. I want to carry on playing for my country.”

We all know David Beckham’s first two passions (soccer and family), but as the superstar tells Anderson Cooper on 60 Minutes this Sunday, the guy is also obsessed with his ink.”I think everybody’s got a way of expressing their feelings, and mine is through my tattoos,” Beckham says of his 15 body tattoos. He also shows Cooper the likenesses of wife Victoria Beckham (on his left arm) and the three cherubs on his right arm (for sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz).
Also revealed on the CBS interviewing (airing Sunday): Beckham, 32, has the option to purchase a Major League Soccer team in the United States when his contract with the L.A. Galaxy runs out, sometime in 2011.
But before that, he’s got some soccer to play. Beckham wrote on his blog Thursday: “The new MLS season is less than two weeks away and I’m really looking forward to the first game against Colorado Rapids. This is my first full season with the Galaxy, so obviously I want to stay fit and play as many games as possible this year.”

DAVID BECKHAM’S tattoo addiction has struck again.
The LA Galaxy midfielder looks more and more like his hero, the heavily tattooed character Michael Scofield in US TV drama Prison Break.
The former England skipper’s latest inkwork, on the left of his torso, runs from his nipple down to his groin. And I can reveal the secret message is a Chinese proverb he heard years ago and has always planned to have scribbled on his skin.
It means: “Death and life have determined appointments. Riches and honour depend upon heaven.” Well, it’s better than “Dave loves Vic 4eva”. Becks had the Chinese writing etched on his body during his US team’s recent trip to the Far East. And it is his most advanced yet.
A source said: “The latest tattoo uses a completely different technique to all the others. It appears on his skin as if it has been brushed on. It is a really intricate process and unique to Hong Kong.
