Eva Longoria has vowed to learn French by the end of the year.

The ‘Desperate Housewives’ star wants to be able to converse with her basketball husband Tony Parker in his native language.

She said: “I’ve sworn to myself that I’m going to be able to speak passable French this year. I should be working on it right now, to tell you the truth, but I’m having fun being relaxed and laid-back and I don’t want to get stressed out.

“But at some point this year, I’m going to take serious French lessons because I want to be able to understand Tony when he speaks French with his family and friends. Even though Tony always serves as a translator for me, I feel a bit isolated from his family and I want to overcome that and feel closer to them by learning the language.”

Eva also said she wants her children to be trilingual - fluent in French, Spanish and English.

She added: “Tony and I want to make sure that our children grow up both in America and in France and that they will be trilingual. Tony will speak to our kids in French and I will teach them Spanish and of course, we would also both speak to them in English.”

Eva Longoria wants to raise her children in Texas.

The ‘Desperate Housewives’ star - who is married to basketball player Tony Parker - is planning to leave Los Angeles when she becomes a mother.

She said: “Tony and I would both like a big family. I come from a family of four girls and Tony comes from a family of three boys. I grew up on a ranch and we grew our own vegetables. I’m very close to my sisters - so Tony and I both want a healthy, big family.

“Growing up in Texas is a great environment, there’s lots of open land and you’re surrounded by nature, which isn’t something you have in a big city. It’s really hard to appreciate nature when you are among all those buildings and cars.”

Eva also revealed she loves being in a relationship, and “wouldn’t want” to be single.

She added: “I’ve always had a boyfriend and then I met Tony and we got married, so there wasn’t a lot of dating. I love being in a relationship - I’m very monogamous. I wouldn’t want to be single.”

With the recent opening of her restaurant Beso, Eva Longoria has ventured into a whole new world of entrepreneurial business. And she was spotted doing a little research for her eatery in Los Angeles yesterday.

The “Desperate Housewives” hottie was caught by the paparazzi leaving legendary LA salsa club The Mayan after checking out their floorplan. Perhaps Eva is already thinking of expanding Beso!

And besides being an established actress/entrepreneur, the “Over Her Dead Body” babe is reportedly a board game freak. In fact, she’s been trying to get David and Victoria Beckham to join her and hubby Tony Parker in a gaming group.

Eva told press, “Tony has really been trying to get David to play board games like Cluedo, but David is not a big game player. We’re like, ‘Come on David!’”
