Going through the pregnancy experience herself, Jessica Alba was spotted lending a helping hand to underage expectant mothers in Los Angeles on Friday (May 2).
The “Good Luck Chuck” actress headed over to Thomas Riley High School - handing out gifts to help get the pregnant high-schoolers off on the right foot in their new babies’ care.
Meanwhile, Jessica, who’s expecting her first child with Cash Warren in June, is said to be planning a break from her career following the birth of her baby.
To this note, Jessica said: “I’m just going to sit back and figure out what this whole experience of being a mother is all about, and taking that in.”
And when the time comes to return to the daily grind, Alba would like to work with her fiancĂ©, telling: “I wouldn’t mind doing something with Cash. He’s incredibly smart and very business-savvy. I think him being part of anything means it’s going to be progressive and successful.”

At this stage in the game, Jessica Alba must be anxiously awaiting the June birth of her first child. And in the meantime, she’s doing whatever she can to make herself as comfortable as possible.
Yesterday the “Good Luck Chuck” babe was spotted taking her mind off of her burgeoning baby bump by doing a little retail therapy at Neiman Marcus in Beverly Hills.
And when she had satisfied her need to spend, the “Dark Angel” hottie headed over to a hair salon to get pampered. Just what a girl needs!
Alba recently told press that she’s always known that motherhood would be in the cards for her. “I’ve known since I was a little girl (that I was going to have kids). I’m the oldest of 15 cousins. I’ve babysat them, changed diapers, fed them their bottles and burped them since I was about six.”

Jessica Alba had a water drinking contest with a young fan recently.
The ‘Fantastic Four’ star - who is expecting her first child with fiance Cash Warren - met nine-year-old Alina Kent as part of the Kid’s Wish Network, a charity which grants the wishes of terminally-ill children.
Alina revealed that after a day of shopping and pampering, 26-year-old Jessica challenged her to the competition.
She said: “We talked about movies, acting and her being pregnant. And we were silly, too. Because I have to drink a lot of water, we had a water drinking contest!”
Alina - who suffers from mitral valve regurgitation, a rare disease which causes the blood to be pumped backwards into the heart and can lead to heart failure - said meeting her idol lived up to all her expectations.
She added: “I don’t get to eat chocolate or go on roller coasters, so there’s not too much excitement in my life. But I was a ball of excitement when I met her. I felt really good about myself that day, like a normal kid with no heart condition. Jessica was like my guardian angel.”

Jessica Alba is terrified her house won’t be ready before she gives birth.
The ‘Fantastic Four’ actress - who is expecting her first child with fiance Cash Warren in May - has been redecorating her whole house in preparation for the baby but says time is running out to finish it.
She said: “I’m just trying to get my house ready before the baby comes. It’s kind of hectic, it’s getting close and the house isn’t even ready yet.
“I’m used to having to be somewhere all the time, and it’s kind of the first time in my life where I really haven’t been working in a while, and now it’s just about the baby being healthy, the house being ready, and nesting, it’s really different. It’s cool - I feel like I’m fully absorbing the whole experience.”
Jessica also revealed she is shocked by how much her appetite has grown and admits the pregnancy is starting to take its toll.
She added: “I have to make sure that I’m eating more of the right nutrients and vitamins, but I’m not used to eating this much. I’ve had to take time out of the day to eat before I get cranky and rundown and tired. Before I was just like the energiser bunny.”
The 26-year-old says she is busy planning her wedding, but refused to give away any details about the ceremony.

Jessica Alba has given friends leather bracelets and told them not to take off until after she gives birth.
The ‘Fantastic Four’ actress - who is expecting her first child with fiance Cash Warren in May - had a baby shower in Los Angeles’ Ever After Tea Shop, where guests including Kim Kardashian and Rashida Jones were asked to take part in the bizarre ritual.
An onlooker said: “Jessica made sure everyone was wearing a leather bracelet before they all launched into a ‘life, love, health’ prayer. She then told them they aren’t allowed to take the bracelets until the baby is born.”
Guests at the shower, which was held earlier this month, were treated to skewers of tiger shrimp and chicken, mini doughnuts and strawberries dipped in white and dark chocolate, washed down with drinks such as white wine, lemonade, iced coffee and milkshakes.
While most of the gifts Jessica received were in yellow or green, the 26-year-old actress reportedly told guests she is expecting a baby girl.
Jessica and Cash are rumoured to be naming their daughter Honor Warren.
